Roman Marek

Roman is managing director of the Sepsis Stiftung. Before, he was scientific coordinator of the interdisciplinary research group »The Future of Medicine: Good Health for All« at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. Previously, he worked as postdoc at several biomedical research institutions: the German Rheumatism Research Center Berlin (DRFZ), the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine, and the Berlin Institute of Health. In 2012, he obtained his PhD (Dr. phil.) at the interdisciplinary DFG postgraduate program »Automatisms« (Paderborn University).
