1) When does the event take place?
The event will take place on Friday, September 16, 2022. There will be a free live stream, or you can participate in person in Berlin, Germany. This way for registration or tickets.

2) Where does the event take place?
The event takes place in Berlin, Germany. If you can’t make it in person, there is a free live stream available.

3) How do I participate?
To participate on September 16, either register for the free live stream or get tickets to attend in person.

4) Will the talks be available after the event?
Yes, all talks will be recorded and we will make them available to view on-demand on the World Sepsis Day YouTube Channel. You can already subscribe to the channel to be automatically notified once the talks will be available.

5) Will there be a certificate of participation?
Yes, we will be issuing a certificate of participation.

6) What language will the event be in? Will there be subtitles?
The event will be broadcasted in English, but subtitles will be available on the recordings on YouTube.

7) Who is behind this event?
This event is organized jointly by the Global Sepsis Alliance and the Sepsis Stiftung.

8) How is the event financed? Why is the live stream free?
The event is financed with the help of our sponsors and by ticket sales. The live stream is free because we want to make knowledge about sepsis as accessible as possible.

9) What does ‘Berlin Time’ mean? How do I figure out my time zone?
’Berlin Time’ means the time in Berlin, Germany.

10) Will there be a certificate of participation?
Yes, we will be issuing a certificate of participation.


At the Venue (Participate In-Person)

11) What is the address of the venue?
The name of the venue is ‘Veranstaltungszentrum der Berliner Sparkasse’, Kronprinzessinnenweg 21, 14129 Berlin, Germany.

12) What is the dress code for the evening event?
The dress code for the evening is “Business Casual”. Changing rooms and lockers are available at the venue. Please note that it can get a bit chilly in Berlin in the middle of September, please prepare accordingly.

13) What are the COVID precautions?
We will follow all COVID‐19 regulations by the state of Berlin that are in effect at the time of the event. Additionally, for the safety of all our participants and guests, including sepsis survivors, please understand that it is mandatory to undergo COVID-19 testing at the event venue. The test will be provided free of charge by our sponsor Abionic via a saliva swab. Currently, no masks are required. Most of the event will take place outside, weather permitting.
